I love to clean. Yes, it's true. I sometimes I actually beg my husband to watch Elliot for a few minutes so I can clean up scattered toys, bits of food stuck to the floor beneath the highchair, tiny fingerprints on the windows and mirrors, and puddles {yes, PUDDLES} of drool. How does one baby create so much mess? I have no idea, and I wonder how the parents of multiples do it. I don't think I'd survive. I don't feel like I can breathe easily unless our house is clean.
So, when I received the opportunity to review Stanley Home degreaser concentrate, I literally thought, yessss! I'm all over this! When I first unpacked it, I wondered why the heck it didn't come with a spray pump. Then I read the instructions, and I'm glad I did, or else I probably would have used 10x more than I needed to. To use this as a typical spray cleaner, you only need to add one tablespoon to 16 oz of water. One tablespoon! That's it! I was a little skeptical, but I prepared the mixture as instructed and tried it out. The verdict? This stuff is AMAZING! Splattered grease? No problem. Stuck on day old melted puffs? Piece of cake. Scorched pots and pans that the husband forgot to soak? Sparkling! It works. FOR EVERYTHING. It's a good thing this stuff comes in a gigantic bottle, because if it didn't, I'd probably hide a stockpile of it in the pantry.
If you're a mom, you need this stuff!

I was recently given the opportunity to review a christmas ornament from Christmas Ornaments.com At first, I thought, what a strange time to review an ornament! After all, Christmas is a long ways away! When I stopped to think about it more, though, I realized that summertime is the perfect time to shop for ornaments {and other Christmas things}.
If you're anything like me, come November and December, you're running around frantically trying to plan holiday parties and vacations, hanging Christmas lights, and trying to finish all of your Christmas shopping... so finding the perfect decorations is usually the last thing on your mind.
Ornaments can often make the best gifts, especially if you take the time to personally choose something that fits each individual person. Our tree is full of ornaments we received as gifts. Each year, as we dig the ornaments out of their boxes and place them on the tree, we relive the memories connected to each one.

The ornament I chose to review was the "Snuggle Bunny", which can be found here. It reminded me of my little snuggler Elliot and, quite frankly, it's adorable! The ornament is very well made. It would probably even survive being dropped once or twice, which is important when you have small children. I can't wait to hang it on our tree this December!

Elliot drools ALL DAY LONG and is also an extremely messy eater. I tried every bib I could find, but nothing was working- the neck holes were always way too big, the bib was too small, or he'd soak through it in five minutes.
I was searching Etsy one day and found Chloe's Closet and decided to give her bibs a try. After all, if nothing else, at least they were cute! From the moment I first put the first bib on him, it was history. I knew I'd never use another kind of bib. It was soft, large, bright and fun, and fit perfectly. And better yet- he could wear one bib almost all day without soaking through! I was sold.
Since then, I've bought many more bibs from Chloe's Closet and they are the only ones we use now. He has one on at all times. They are quality printed cotton on one side, and soft, absorbent chenille on the other. They close with a snap so there is no velcro sticking to all of his clothes in the dryer. Simply put, they are the best bibs I've ever found!
Visit Chloe's Closet Boutique today to pick out some of your own handmade little luxuries!

"Golden slumbers await your little pride and joy at the end of lullaby road. The Beatles are the most famous songwriters of the twentieth century. Their songs are known by people of all ages here, there, and everywhere. The dreamy quality of their later work provides the blueprint for these beautiful lullaby interpretations. It will glide your little one out across the universe, through an octopus’s garden, and lay them down in a slumberland of strawberry fields."
{see complete album info here.}
When Stacie from Rockabye Baby contacted me about doing a blog review, I couldn't be more thrilled. Elliot falls asleep to music every night, and since he still sleeps in my room, that means I do, too. I was getting awfully tired of the common, overdone nursery rhyme lullabies.
Rockabye Baby does musical lullaby renditions of popular rock groups. If you didn't already guess by my blog title, I'm a huge Beatles fan- so of course, as soon as I saw that they had a Beatles edition, I had to try it out! It was EXACTLY what we needed- a fun, fresh alternative to traditional lullabies. Several of my favorite Beatles songs, including "Hey Jude" and our blog's namesake- "Here Comes the Sun" were included and I found myself humming along to most of the songs. Elliot seems to really love it! I've put it on for a few nights in a row now and several naps- and he's asleep in no time. Sometimes, when he wakes up, he just lays peacefully in his crib enjoying the soothing music.
Of course, if you're not a Beatles fan, there are plenty of other options... Bob Marley, ACDC, U2, Aerosmith, and Coldplay, just to name a few.

In case you haven't noticed, the world of toys is changing. Toys used to be all about having fun. While having fun is definitely still important, we are now realizing that toys can be a creative {and sneaky!} way for our children to learn, too.
If you haven't already, you need to head on over to EBeanstalk for a wide variety of learning toys. So, what makes EBeanstalk different? This store full of all kinds of unique toys- seriously! There is a toy for every kid out there. But to me, what REALLY makes EBeanstalk stand out is the way that they strategically organize toys into developmental groups- from baby toys to toys for 1 year olds, toddler toys, kids toys, and everything in between. Each toy's specific target age group is listed, so you can find the perfect toy to challenge and stimulate every child- no matter how old- on your shopping list.
We're big fans of toys around here- especially ones without batteries. Here are some of my favorite finds:

I love using toys to challenge and stimulate my son, as well as to keep him occupied. But I'm not a fan of the obnoxious, electronic plastic toys that fill the American toy market. I think they are cheap and overstimulating, and I'd much prefer the classic wooden toys that so many of us grew up with. Apparently, I'm not alone. Wooden toys have always been VERY popular overseas and are {finally!} becoming popular here in the US, too.
The Wooden Toy Shop.co.uk is the very best online wooden toy shop I've ever found.
There's something for everyone- babies, toddlers, and young children. They carry a HUGE selection of everything from rattles and stackers to cars, kitchen playsets and walkers {and everything in between!}. My favorite part? Most of their toys are educational and can be used to help develop hand-eye-coordination, shapes, colors, numbers, musical skills, and fine motor skills.
Some of the toys offered at the Wooden Toy Shop that I'd love to buy for Elliot:
