It's been awhile since I updated you all on Elliot's Hats. I'd say it's been a success so far, but that would probably be an understatement. Elliot has 29 hats so far! Wow! That's a hat a day for a little over four weeks in the NICU!
Here is a little preview of his growing hat collection.

What a great hat collection, I am looking forward to seeing the pictures when he's wearing them
ReplyDeleteI love them all!
ReplyDeleteLove the hats - perfect for NICU life! Just a couple of other suggestions for the NICU:
ReplyDelete1. Get a journal to leave at his bedside and ask the nurses to write in it - updates during their shift, details about his stats for the day, anything special. And make sure you write in it too. Its a great little reminder of the progress he's made daily.
2. Leave a disposable camera at his bedside and ask the nurses/staff to take pictures of anything special when you aren't there.
3. Stock up on some good blankets. We were able to bring our own blankets in for Harper's bed. Aden and Anais make the best ones since they are big. You can also sleep with the blankets at night and bring them in the next morning so he'll be able to have your scent when he's not around.
4. We brought in a crib cd player (bought at Babies R Us) and made cds for her. When we transitioned home, it was nice to have this consistency.
Great job with the blog and keep it up!
So cute!! I love them all.
ReplyDeleteBtw, your comment on my post made me laugh today, my parents were married in THEIR 20's, not THE 20's!! Haha, omigoodness, they haven't been married for 90 years! lol :)
Brooke- thanks for the suggestions! I've added them to my list. A lot of people have suggested the disposable camera- such a great idea. If they catch a really cute moment, though, I'd have to go old-school and scan it, haha. I haven't done that in years!
ReplyDeleteAmyLee- HAHA! Pregnancy brain! I remember {briefly} wondering how the heck that was possible, especially since they didn't look THAT old... but I just shrugged and assumed you knew what you were talking about. But thinking about it now- it's almost impossible. Hah!
