I'm sleep deprived.

Ever since we got to Texas, Elliot has been waking up at least every two hours. I'm the only one getting up with him most of the time because Aaron has to wake up so early. Last night, he woke up every hour SCREAMING his head off. Consequently I'm throwing away full bottles of formula every morning and I'm just... exhausted.
Why is he doing this? I'm not sure. Teething? Tummy troubles? Nightmares? I have no idea and since Elliot obviously can't tell me what's wrong, we're pretty much helpless. We move tomorrow and I'm REALLY hoping that once he settles in he'll develop better sleeping habits. If not, I might pull all of my hair out!

  1. You guys are in a hotel right? I can't say what Elliot's sleep issue is due to, but Corben slept horribly like that when we were out of town and staying in a hotel. It sucked! I think a combo of being in a foreign environment and being able to see mommy and daddy right there was just too much.

  2. It could be the atmosphere! I know when I lslept over my parents a few times he acted up as well as at my inlaws. It might just be the whole change. And why are you throwing away the formula? Is there no fridge where you are at? The formula should be fine if there is a fridge. Do you warm yours?

  3. I would almost bet it's the move...he's just not used to it yet.

  4. Elliot only takes bottles HOT... and once they're warmed, they're only good for an hour and then you have to throw them out. They actually start to smell before then so I let them sit for a half hour tops. If we didn't heat them up you could put them in the fridge though.

  5. I have a feeling once he gets to his new home he'll like it a lot better and be back to normal. It's just getting past this tough part that stinks.

  6. Presley wakes up like that when she is cutting teeth. It's hard to tell when it's teeth. But I can tell because when I put on the oragel (naturals) she calms right down. But then wakes again after about 20-30 mins. Just long enough for it to wear off. Then typically, I give her a lil dose of tylenol and get her calmed down.

Anyways- Good luck. I hope he settles more when you move to your new place.

  7. Unfortunately, I don't have any great advice to give you, except that I've been there. Arianna always slept horribly in hotels. Not fun. Hang in there Momma!
