happy weekend!

I am in a fabulous mood today. It's labor day weekend, which means we get to spend four whole days together as a family. We've been celebrating by staying up late, sleeping in {until EIGHT this morning... is it sad that we think 8:00 is sleeping in?!}, eating good food, and spending plenty of time outdoors. It has only been in the 90's today, so I even took the camera out with us.

  8. Look how big he is getting! Too bad you didn't move closer to Austin, we could have a play date. But at least we are close enough to share the heat!

  9. Just looking at the pictures of Elliot got me thinking that he looks as if he didn't spent a minute in the NICU. It is impossible to tell that he was born with gastroschisis and I really believe that he is a miracle living among us. I have followed your blog from the very beginning, and I never left a comment.
I do now to tell you that I am very grateful for how everything is turning out for you, your little family is beautiful and you are a really strong mother.
I hope that, if I'm ever in a situation half as tough as the ones you overcame, I can remember your joy throughout all the process and take a leaf out of your book.
    Thanks for sharing with us.
