Big News!

I realized today that, until now, I hadn't blogged in over two weeks. THAT, my friends, is the longest I've ever gone without blogging. I blame it mostly on the fact that my camera battery charger broke so I couldn't take pictures, and I was also sick and just plain exhausted.
Well, I'm back and with some super exciting news:

I'm pregnant!
or, as my husband would say- "my eggo is preggo!"

That's right. We're expecting baby #2 in early June 2012.
I don't go to the doctor until next week, but since my period was a few days late and I was suddenly feeling very sick to my stomach, I took a bunch of pregnancy tests and guess what? They ALL came up positive.

And what's more? The positive line is WAY darker than the control line. My test results when I was pregnant with Elliot were never this dark, even when I was 6 weeks pregnant!
See?
that's right: we're PREGNANT!
We are SO excited!!

Now I just need Elliot to sleep through the night again so I can figure out how to juggle an 18 month old and a newborn while my husband is deployed...
Oh boy!

That's the age gap my mum had with my brother and sister and she had me number three as well! I think you'll do great.

Hope those 1st trimester yuckies aren't giving you too much grief.

  8. Congrats Jess!!

I had two babies who were 19 months apart and then the next one came when the youngest was 23 months, so at one point I had a 3 1/2 yr old, 2 yr old, and newborn. Those days were so busy but I look back at them now with happy memories. It was fun, and those three are best buddies now, they have "sleepovers" in each other's rooms on the weekends, and play together all day long.

My baby now is 6 1/2 years younger than the next one, and I really prefer having them close together.

What fun you're going to have! So happy for you and Elliot and your dh!

  9. Huge congratulations!! That is fabulous news. And I'm sure you'll handle both babes with no problem. You are a great mom. :)
I'm a bit jealous of course! We started trying when you first got pregnant with Elliot and still don't have our take home baby. Hopefully I won't be far behind you this time around.
