Things I Couldn't Live Without: month 3

Photobucket
Graco Lauren Classic Crib: Elliot is now sleeping in his crib. I love how fresh, simple, and sturdy it is! My 13 year old little brother and I {when I was 8 months preggo} managed to put it together all by ourselves, too- and I'm like the least handy person ever, so that really says something.

Photobucket
Twilight Turtle: Elliot is afraid of the dark, so we used to have to sleep with a lamp on. Thanks to this adorable turtle, which projects blue, green, or amber stars onto the ceiling, those days are long over.

Photobucket
Fisher Price Soothe & Glow seahorse: Elliot always sleeps with this adorable seahorse. It plays a combination of water/bubble sounds and soft music. Even {I} find it pretty relaxing!

Photobucket
Fisher Price Whale of a Tub: What's Elliot's absolute favorite time of day? TUBBIE TIME!! We tried another tub but this one was way, way better. He kicks and splashes to his heart's content in here, and {unlike the other tub} the water is actually deep enough to cover most of him so he doesn't get cold. Plus... it's a WHALE! How cute is that?!

Photobucket
Johnson's Bedtime Bath Collection: Elliot gets a bath every night before bed, and we always use the bedtime bath and the bedtime lotion. It smells lavender-y and delicious. I've even used it in a bath for myself, shhh!

Photobucket
Mr. Brown Can Moo board book by Dr. Seuss: This is Elliot's favorite book. He thinks all the funny noises I make while reading it to him are hilarious :)

  2. I've never seen the Twilight Turtle before!! That's cool! Although at this point, I think it would just be something that would keep Bennett awake longer! Ha ha

  3. I got the same tub at my baby shower, I haven't used it yet, but I do like that it has that little green part which looks like it would be good for helping prop baby up. That is what annoyed me most about the baby tub we used with Jack, he was always slipping down!

  4. Okay, love this post :)
My Elliott had the same crib, bathtub, and those J&J bathtime products are my favorite!! Sometimes I use the lotion for me :)
I cannot believe how fast time goes....we no longer use that bathtub, and we've taken the front off of Ellie's crib (by the way, that crib works really well when it transitions to a toddler bed....the mattress is super close to the ground, and all you do is take off the front!)

  5. The SeaHorse rocks! I don't know what I would do without it. Julianna loves hers. SHe has learned how to turn it on herself now! We hear it over the monitor in the middle of the night sometimes LOL.

Johnsons Bedtime products- LOVE them. Julianna sticks her legs straight up in the air to have them massaged after her bath.

I also could not live without Julianna's Blow-up duck tub. Once your little one can sit up strong, check out the duck tub for the bath. It is sweet!!

  6. I have a crib kind of like yours, but it is by Simplicity. Adelynn had the pink seahorse and LOVED it! I, too, used the J & J bathtime lotions and soaps...I have the lavender lotion as well and LOVE it.

My 6 year old son LOVES Dr. Seuss - we have almost EVERY book...they are so nice because he can read them by himself.

    Great post!

  7. I also swear by the J&J bedtime bath collection. Gavin has been getting a bath just about every night since he was a newborn and this is what we use. He's always been the greatest sleeper - I can't prove it, but I think it has to do with the lavender! We'll see when baby #2 gets here and I test my theory on him, haha!

  9. We love our Twilight Turtle, it's so fun! We chose it because it project Orion and that's my son's middle name.

Also, Mr. Brown Can Moo was my fav book when I was little! I read it to my son too :)

  10. Aww! I love that Elliot is so interactive when you read to him. Too sweet!!

You may want to check out this website to read a bit about the safety of Johnson & Johnson products. http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/search.php?query=Johnson+%26+Johnson+Bedtime+Bath (The web site is also super awesome for checking out the safety of grown-up shampoo, cosmetics, etc.) I personally would avoid their products as they all seem to have moderate hazard. I know you are into being green and product safety so I figured I should share. :)

  11. Looks like I'm not the only one who could live without these!
@Samantha- that stopp works really well. Elliot is just now starting to be able to slide down, only because he is kicking so hard these days.
Breanna- what?! I'm looking into this ASAP.
