Having a baby is not good for the environment.

Judging by the sheer amount of paper we were given today, my OB does not care about saving the environment. He does, however, care about saving the money in our wallets- coupons galore! And he knows just how to ease a pregnant woman's mind- by throwing lots of reading material at her! Seriously, I instantly felt better.
Wow.
In all, our first OB appointment was fine. Judging by the size of my uterus, and my LMP, I am seven weeks along, like I thought. But until my first ultrasound, which I need to call and schedule, we won't really know much. I had a lot of blood drawn, a pap smear, an exam, and many questions asked and answered.
My next appointment is June 10th- I can't wait!

  3. I had my first ultrasound today and instead of being overjoyed, it kind of scared me. Because it was done by an ultrasound tech in a radiology place (insurance rules) it didn't go anything like it does on TV. It was quiet and bland and she didn't say anything like "everything looks great." She just told me that the baby was measuring 6wks 1 day instead of 7 weeks 1 day. That the baby in 5mm and has a heartbeat of 120. Then I came home, googled all that and freaked myself out! Do not do as I did! Say no to Google! Haha.

  4. Holy smokes that is a lot of reading material. I don't think I received nearly that amount. Glad to hear the appointment went well.

  5. I'm glad you're geeking out over the reading materials! I have a feeling I'll be reading at least that much before Chris and I even start trying to conceive! (And I've got plenty of time since neither of us are quite ready...yet.)

  6. I'm a little jealous. Our appointment was today, and I only got a printed out packet of a few OTC items I CAN have if I should get sick...and a month's worth of samples of prenatals!

But our appoint went GREAT, so I won't complain too much! :) Our first ultrasound is the 3rd! Glad things went well for you!
