Sick baby

Elliot is still sick.
We went to the doctor today. Despite all those days of Pedialyte, he now weighs 11 lbs 5 oz!! That means he has almost doubled his birth weight already. WOW!
I was looking at pictures from the NICU earlier. Looking at that tiny, fragile baby boy brought up all kinds of emotions. It's amazing how much he has changed already. Time is flying by. After putting the pictures down, I scooped up my {growing} baby and cuddled him to my chest like we did during kangaroo care in the NICU. We took a nap together that way, and it was perfect.
I feel so blessed to be able to spend every moment of every day with my son, watching him grow and witnessing all the changes. Wouldn't t be nice if we could freeze time? Unfortunately, we can't. So I'm soaking up all the cuddle time I can get while I can. Before long, he'll probably be toddling all over the house, too busy for hugs and kisses. Yikes!

Brand new
One of my favorite pictures of Elliot in the NICU, when he was only two days old. ♥

Sweet angel.
Look at that sweet little face :)

  1. So precious! I miss those days but, even my busy two year old will slow down every few days and come up and say, "snug" and cuddle with me. :)

  2. He is so freaking cute!! I'm so happy for you that you get to actually see him grow and can have him near you. I hope he gets better soon too!

Alyson was sick for a while and it sucked. :(
