Rain, rain, go away...

Sorry I've been MIA lately.
The weather has been TERRIBLE (cold and rainy) and I've been sick.
To make matters worse, my husband has been really down lately. He hates being in Korea without me, and every time I talk to him, he's in a bad mood. Cheering him up is impossible. I just wish there was something more that I could do! I feel so helpless. Usually I look forward to talking to him everyday... but now everytime we say "goodbye," his mood has worn off on me and brought me down a little, too.
I am so thankful for this little boy. I had an OB appointment yesterday, and things went really well. I'm measuring right where I should be, and my OB still thinks my weight is perfect, even though I feel like I've gained way more than everyone else in my birth club. Elliot's hearbeat was a little irregular (but still in the 140s). The OB chalked it up to him being so active or hiccups. It worried me a little, though.
I just keep praying that things will continue to go smoothly. And I'm very much looking forward to finally being reunited with my husband and meeting my son.
I could use some cheering up!

We're slipping a little- my fault for not posting! Care to vote? :)

  1. Oh, that's hard. It's so hard to cheer up Mike when he's in a bad mood. It's got to be hard when your not in the same country.

Ruari's HB was always in the 150's and was in the 170's towards the end. I wouldn't worry too much. :)

  2. Oh Jess I'm so sorry you're having a rough time! Just focus on taking things one day at a time & don't let yourself get overwhelmed by everything all at once. When you are feeling down & out, just take comfort in knowing this won't last forever, & "this too shall pass."

  3. I know how hard it can be, I've been a military wife for 14 years. I so looked forward to my hubby's calls when he was deployed and overseas but sometimes after we would talk, I would feel so bad. What made it worse was it wasn't like I could just call him back and have a do-over conversation. Then I'd have to wait a whole week or two before I could talk to him again.

It might seem far away but your hubby will be home soon! You'll be in my thoughts.

  4. Oh that sounds really hard.
I have no idea what it must be like to be away from your husband for a long time. I know I miss mine when he is gone for the day.

Its lovely that you have little Elliot with you and he will be out in the world soon and you will have your husband too!

When we are lonely we can talk to him and take refuge in his love.
